2 000 small fishes were distributed by Aide et Action to the Goûtte d’eau street children center in Neak Loeung at the beginning of April. These fishes are advantages for many reasons.
Mr. Ear, director of street children center, is delighted for this donation. “These fishes are very important for the center. Thanks to this, the children, especially the older, can train to raise correctly the fishes. While they grow, we can eat or sell in the market which can reduce the expense of the center”, told the director.
“It has been more than 2 years that I join my teacher to raise the fishes. Now I know it very well. I am very happy with this”, explained Sophorn, a 12 years old boy.
The cooks agreed with the importance of the fishes. They added that the fishes were comestible and adequate for the health as they were rich in vitamin and did not contain the cholesterol. They prepared thus very often the fishes for the children and the staffs.
The fishes are really good for the health as they contain a lot of protein and vitamin (A and D). For that reason, they are more and more expensive because of strong demand of the Cambodian people.
