-Aide et Action, Cambodia-
16th June, 2016
The group of CCOSC partner Project Managers are getting to know each other better and really learn about what is happening in this large programme of enrolling and retaining over 57,000 Out of School children into school.
As usual we had 4 Action Learning Sets, two facilitated by David Curtis of Light of the World and two facilitated by Kiran Dattani Pitt of Aide et Action.
This was followed up by working on the light bulb moments from the previous Learning Forum and groups working on 5 stories that were the most inclusive, as shown in the photo.
Two good practice case studies were presented by Samerdy Sorn of Damnok Toek and Chandoeun Hun of DDSP. The others noted down any new learning or what they could implement in their won services.
The Press Conference facilitated by David Curtis with panel members – Vichetra Kong of KPF, Samnang Pheng of DDSP and Kiran Dattani Pitt was a learning and an enjoyable experience. Tough questions were asked by reporters from different media and the panel members responded to them with the hope that there would be sharing of information about how to include the most marginalised group of children. These are children with severe intellectual and multiple disabilities who spend most of their time at home alone because parents and families do not know how best to support them.
It is planned that the next Learning Forum will be in the province.
